Recyling Plastic Generation - Disposable Society
Recycle or NOT?! What we use now compared to hundreds of years ago.
We have had generations of people in The United States and the world have to conserve their food, clothing, and supplies. Times have been tough for the majority of people living in the U.S. for hundreds of years. People had to store food for the winter, make their own clothing for their family, and use clothes for personal hygiene. Handkerchiefs were used for blowing your noses, and cloth napkins to say the least.
When Baby Boomers were growing up, they were bought quality made toys from steel and metal that lasted for years. We grew up on quality toys, such that philosophy would carry on into their adult lives. I try to buy quality items and goods that last. These last few generations have grown up on plastic and disposable toys that last for 1 hour at Christmas time. When the infinite type of plastics and polymers were developed by oil companies the world changed.
We have plastic everything today, all plastic knives, forks, plates, cups, furniture, everything you can imagine. Disposable diapers, kleenex for blowing our noses, no more handkerchiefs. Paper bags from the grocery stores were used for taking out the trash and other uses. They are gone for the most part, with plastic grocery bags, and all plastic products creating millions of tons of unrecycled goods.
China finally was fed up with our sending them plastics to recycle that they rejected because the goods weren't even cleaned before they were sent to them. 100 millions tons of plastics were sent to other countries including China to recycle due to our lack of future planning on this planet.

I think there should be an international law that all plastic goods that we produce is returned to the store or company that supplied the goods. An equal balance of for every ton of plastic goods company produces they should be responsible for reusing those goods in the production of new their products. Every country is passing the buck.
As was illustrated in the movie "Aquaman" that showed the Atlantean forcing all the garbage of the ocean to wash up on the beaches of the countries that produced the garbage.
We have become a reckless species, with no respect or regard for the environment in which we live.
World pollution has been a topic is society since the industrial revolution and still only now are we starting to take it seriously. People on the West Coast had 3 trash bins: Waste, Recyling, and lawn clipping for 20 plus years, only recent years has the rest of the country mandated these policies.
Landfills are at epic proportions, with New York sending their garbage to other states.
San Francisco sends their garbage to over 50 miles away to Santa Clara to land fills.
In a thousand years Archeologists will uncover the remains of today society to discover the mounds of garbage similar to what was illustrated in the environmental movie Wall-E that showed the entire planet becoming a garbage heats.
We need to start by training the children of today to buy quality goods and start using handkerchiefs and buy items that last and endure. People believe in God and worship but don't show respect for our planet. WE pollute, allow toxic dumps like the lake in Russia that is 1000X times more radioactive than anything in the world, but do nothing to clean up our messes.
How can the world learn to stop using plastics, it is almost impossible to teach the world a new trick?
