Far-UVC Light to eliminate Viruses from Airports and Airplanes

"In the constant battle against the spread of infectious diseases, scientists are continually on the hunt for new weapons that specifically target pathogenic microbes. Now, investigators from the Center for Radiological Research at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) believe they may have found a new, low-cost solution to eradicating airborne viruses in indoor public spaces. The research team found that continuous low doses of far ultraviolet C (far-UVC) light can kill airborne flu viruses without harming human tissues. The findings from the new study—published today in Scientific Reports in an article entitled “Far-UVC Light: A New Tool to Control the Spread of Airborne-Mediated Microbial Diseases”—suggests that use of overhead far-UVC light in hospitals, doctors' offices, schools, airports, airplanes, and other public spaces could provide a powerful check on seasonal influenza epidemics, as well as influenza pandemics."

We need to install these lights at all airports and on the airplanes and in the filtration systems of airplane.

The implementation of this project should be in a joint effort from the CDC with funding by the Pentagon, we are at war with viruses and bacteria that can kill people in a pandemic that will make the deaths of 1918 influenza outbreak nothing in comparison.
A. We need to immediate mandate all 3000+ airplanes that are flying in all countries replace 25-50% of their cabin lighting with UVC lighting and mandate HEPA nano-filters for the re-circulation of air on an airplane to minimize the spread of potential pathogens

B. All  Airports will install the same HEPA nano-filters throughout the ventilation systems, and add 25-75% of all lighting with UVC lighting all all exits and entries points, boarding gates, and places of commerce such as restaurants and gifts shops where there are large concentrations of people.

This shows the exposures from UVC and how viruses are eliminated by them.

Here is the chamber for testing  UV irradiation of bacteria and viruses.

For Water we can use this UV LED to disinfect water.
" These deep UV LEDs emit even shorter wavelengths of light than blue LEDs, and they have promising applications. Nikkiso envisions applications for its deep UV LEDs in three broad fields."
